Assistant General Manager

We are looking for an experienced assistant general manager to help the general manager in directing daily business operations. The assistant general manager should be experienced in a supervisory role, and be able to confidently deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives. The AGM must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.

Oven Hearth Bakery opened in 1997 in St. Paul, Minnesota to meet the specialized needs of all of the Davanni’s restaurants in the Twin Cities metro area.

We specialize in high quality, high volume custom made baked goods and serve a variety of customers. At Oven Hearth, automated equipment is used by dedicated employees with over 230 years of baking experience. Think of us as wholesale baking with the human touch.

We are offering part-time positions with an availability of:

  • Monday-Friday  11 am – 8 pm
  • Overnight positions  8 pm – 6 am
  • Up to 30 hours per week. No experience necessary.

We believe in cross-training and expect everyone to learn and be capable of performing as many functions as possible.

Tasks may include the following:

  • Preparing products to customer specifications
  • Mixing
  • Baking
  • Dishwashing

  • Packaging Products
  • Equipment Maintenance

Prerequisites include:

  • Standing for entire work shift except for breaks

Applicants must be able to process written information in English quickly and accurately. The applicant also must be able to communicate effectively in English. Must be able to manipulate objects rapidly with hands, and perform basic math functions.

Job Type:  Part-time up to 30 hours per week
Salary: Up to $15 per hour depending on availability and experience
